About the Mohel
Mohel Rabbi Shlomo Golish Bris Circumcision in New Jersey.jpg

My Approach

Every bris is personal. I approach it with surgical precision, a calming presence, and a deep sense of responsibility — not just to the baby, but to the entire family.

From our first conversation through aftercare, I aim to make the experience smooth, reassuring, and safe. My technique combines over 15 years of experience with natural methods that avoid painful clamps or synthetic agents.

The result? A custom-fit bris with rapid healing, minimal discomfort, and peace of mind.

My Training

I began my training over 15 years ago at the prestigious London School of Circumcision, followed by over three years of advanced hands-on apprenticeship in Israel.

My primary mentor and role model was the legendary Rabbi Aharon Greentzveig z"l, one of the most respected mohelim in the world, who served as the official mohel at the "Telzstone Convalescent Home for Mother and Baby" for decades, dealing with approximately 10,000 newborns a year. Under his guidance, I gained a wealth of practical experience and surgical precision.

This background has equipped me to perform both standard and complex circumcisions — always with clarity, care, and uncompromising standards.

What to Expect

What to Expect
Bris in Elizabeth NJ.jpg

1

Call to schedule the Bris

Mazal Tov on your new baby boy! Still expecting? Feel free to call and discuss scheduling the Bris anyway. We will get to know each other, discuss the baby's health, timing of the Bris and any other questions you have.

2

The Checkup

Once your little prince is born and you're home from the hospital, I’ll check in to see how he’s doing. This can be done in person or remotely — whatever’s most convenient for you.

We’ll confirm that he’s ready for the bris and go over “The Honors” — who will participate and how.
This is also the perfect time to ask any remaining questions so you feel fully prepared and confident.

3

The Bris

On the eighth day after your son is born, he'll officially join the tribe!

The Bris is typically done in a shul or party hall, but can also be held in the comfort of your home.

Once the ceremony is complete… buckle up for some bagels and lox!

4

Aftercare

After the bris, I’ll give you clear, simple instructions on how to care for your baby.

The healing process usually takes a few days to a week. During that time, I’ll check in with you to make sure everything is healing beautifully and to answer any questions that come up.
