trust Rabbi Shlomo Golish, Certified Mohel
Rabbi Shlomo Golish, Certified Mohel's Bris Milah services in The Bronx, NY.
While The Bronx may not be the first borough people think of for Jewish life, it is home to a committed and close-knit community with deep roots. Families here — from Riverdale to Pelham Parkway — often seek a mohel who can bring halachic expertise, medical skill, and a personal touch to their son’s bris milah (circumcision). With over 15 years of experience, I am honored to serve The Bronx and provide ceremonies that are both meaningful and smooth.
Life in New York moves quickly, but a bris is a moment to slow down and connect — to tradition, to family, and to the Jewish people. My role is to make sure the process is clear, organized, and stress-free. Whether the ceremony is in your home, synagogue, or a community space, I bring everything needed to create a calm, respectful environment for your family and guests.
Before the bris, I perform a pre-bris evaluation to confirm your baby’s readiness and to answer any questions. My method is quick, minimizes discomfort, and is paired with detailed aftercare instructions to ensure fast healing. I remain available afterward for follow-up support, giving you peace of mind.
One of the highlights of the bris is announcing your son’s Hebrew name — the name he will carry in Jewish life and be called to the Torah with. Some families choose a name to honor a loved one; others choose based on meaning or inspiration. If you’re looking for ideas, my Hebrew Boy Names list offers hundreds of names with both Israeli and many popular traditional choices. Names can be combined.
I serve Jewish families throughout Riverdale, Pelham Parkway, Kingsbridge, Spuyten Duyvil, and Bedford Park, as well as those in nearby Westchester communities.
