trust Rabbi Shlomo Golish, Certified Mohel
Across Connecticut’s growing Jewish communities, families seek a mohel who can combine halachic precision, professional skill, and a personal, reassuring presence. With over 15 years of experience performing bris milah (circumcision) for newborn boys, I travel throughout the state to ensure every family can celebrate this mitzvah with dignity, joy, and peace of mind.
Whether your bris will take place in your home, synagogue, or another venue, I create a calm and respectful environment that allows the focus to remain on the spiritual meaning of the day. My approach blends advanced training with traditional practice, enabling a quick procedure, minimal discomfort, and a clear aftercare plan for fast healing.
Before the ceremony, I conduct a pre-bris evaluation to confirm your baby’s readiness and to answer any questions. I bring all instruments and supplies, so you can concentrate on your family and guests. Afterward, I remain available for follow-up and guidance, ensuring you feel supported throughout.
I am honored to serve Jewish families in Connecticut’s key hubs, including Stamford, West Hartford, New Haven, Greenwich, Bridgeport, Norwalk, Fairfield, Waterbury, Danbury, New London, and Hartford. Many of these communities have both long-established congregations and newer families seeking a mohel who understands their minhagim and priorities.
If you are in Fairfield County—including Stamford, Greenwich, Norwalk, or Westport—I am just a short trip away and serve families there. In Hartford County, I travel to West Hartford and Hartford itself. In New Haven County, I visit New Haven, Milford, and surrounding towns. I also make arrangements for families in eastern Connecticut, such as New London County and Middlesex County.
For examples of past ceremonies and setups, you can visit the Gallery. Many common questions—about timing, honors, customs, and healing—are answered in the FAQ section. For an overview of my training, background, and service areas, you can start at the Homepage. You can also seek inspiration for Hebrew Baby Boy names in the name section.
If you are in Connecticut and are looking for a mohel who offers integrity in jewish law, surgical precision, and genuine care for your family, I would be privileged to help you welcome your son into the Jewish people with warmth and confidence.
