Rabbi Shlomo Golish's Bris & Mohel Services in Queens, NY
I actually spent quite some time living in Kew Garden Hills!
Queens is one of New York City’s most diverse boroughs, and its Jewish community reflects that same variety — from long-established neighborhoods to growing, vibrant kehillos. As a certified mohel with over 15 years of experience, I have performed bris milah and newborn circumcision ceremonies for families across Queens, ensuring each one is conducted with halachic precision, medical expertise, and personal warmth.
Some families prefer a small, private bris in their home. Others choose to hold the ceremony in a synagogue, yeshiva, or event space. My goal is to make the process clear, organized, and reassuring — no matter the setting. From the first conversation, I guide you through preparation, timing, and ceremony details, so you can focus on your baby and the mitzvah itself.
Before the bris, I conduct a pre-bris evaluation to confirm your son’s readiness and to answer any questions. I bring all necessary instruments and supplies, creating a calm environment wherever the ceremony is held. Afterward, I provide detailed aftercare instructions and remain available for any follow-up.
One of the most memorable moments is announcing your son’s Hebrew name — the name by which he will be called in Jewish life and at the Torah. Many parents name in memory of a loved one, while others choose based on meaning or inspiration. For help deciding, my Hebrew Boy Names list includes hundreds of names with Israeli and traditional options.
I proudly serve Jewish families across Kew Gardens Hills, Forest Hills, Fresh Meadows, Flushing, Bayside, Rego Park, Jamaica Estates, and Far Rockaway. Whether you live near a major Jewish hub or in a quieter neighborhood, you can expect the same care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

If you’re in Queens and want a mohel who combines skill, halachic integrity, and compassion, I would be honored to help you welcome your son into the Jewish people.
